TRACE: The legacy
TRACE is a global broadcast and digital media company specialized in afro urban music and entertainment. Since TRACE’s launch in 2003, it has built a leading media platform. Thanks to TRACE, thousands of underserved artists get exposure and hundreds of millions of fans can enjoy the best afro-urban music and entertainment from a global and local perspective.
At TRACE, we care about these fans. We love them. We have decided to leverage our media impact and entertainment expertise to empower them and give them more tools to succeed in life. Our goal

Alter Ego SA was charged with marketing the TRACE Mobile SIM card and mobile application into the South African market through various channels focusing on sales and brand awareness.

Consumer engagement
Our strategy included implementing national brand activations at universities, malls, and grocery chains. Alter Ego SA also staged events in various markets to create brand awareness and increase sales of the TRACE Mobile offering. Ultimately we created sales channels and provided analysis and reporting.
App integration
Alter Ego SA's brand partnerships and strategic offerings were integrated with the TRACE Mobile app, allowing for a seamless brand experience and maximum consumer satisfaction.
Nationwide impact
We targeted major universities across the country. From University of Cape Town to University of KwaZulu Natal – we were there!
